Founded on the unwavering belief in the power of education to improve life chances and raise aspirations, Northern Schools Trust is dedicated to providing a first-rate quality of education through a broad and balanced curriculum. We strive to equip young people with the best possible foundation to succeed, overcome social barriers, and thrive, regardless of their backgrounds or starting points.

Our Trust currently encompasses eight schools – four secondary and four primary – serving diverse urban communities across Liverpool. As a regional training centre in Liverpool, we are at the forefront of developing exceptional teachers and leaders, directly benefiting our schools with a pipeline of highly qualified and expertly trained professionals.

We are deeply committed to addressing the challenges faced by our communities, often characterised by material and social deprivation, by delivering an education that mirrors the high standards and opportunities typically found in the independent sector. We believe that every student deserves the very best, enabling them to broaden their horizons in truly transformative ways.

As a Local Governor, you will have a unique opportunity to be an ambitious and resilient contributor, relishing the challenge of driving improvement and realising our vision for outstanding schools within their local contexts.
