Topic

The topic we were learning about in school was the Vikings. You can find lots of information about them on YouTube and on websites such as Primary Homework Help (http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/vikings.html).

Use the red book I gave you to do some research on the Vikings, maybe make a fact file, a poster, draw a Viking Long Ship and label it, design a shield, write a story set in Viking Britain. You may want to be super creative and make a Viking shield out of cardboard or a Viking Long Ship out of lollipop sticks.

Future Topic:

Soon I will change focus from the Vikings and we will start to learn about the Tudors and King Henry VIII. You may want to start learning about him too.

Purple Mash

https://www.purplemash.com/sch/roscoe

Purple Mash is a fantastic online learning platform with hundreds and hundreds of activities to complete. Each week I will be setting work for you to do at home. When you login check your 2Do folder at the top of the page to find them. Don't forget to click save and hand in when you have finished.

As well as me setting you work there are also lots more activities you can complete such as reading comprehensions, spelling  games, maths activities, art projects and computing activities.

It is important that you log into Purple Mash as often as you can to complete the work that has been set for you each week! Have fun exploring and learning using Purple Mash!

Twitter

Please ask your adults to check out Mr Harwood's Twitter account everyday for the latest updates! Just Google Mr Harwood Twitter or search for me @roscoeprimary19

Finally...

Try not to get too stressed with how much 'school work' you have to do. Just use the resources if you need them, you can learn in many different ways, you could use this time off school to learn how to cook, how to speak another language, to play a musical instrument, to learn about nature and lots of other things. The most important thing is to have fun while you learn!

See you when you come back to school.
