Pro Skills
On Monday, we welcomed Coach Ted and Coach Rob from Pro Skills. The coaches worked with our children during their lunchtime play and this week they focused on basketball after a vote from the children. The coaches will continue to support play through the spring and summer term.

Year 6
There was great excitement in Year 6 this week as children found out their secondary school places. The spread of high schools this year covers nine different secondary schools, including North Liverpool Academy (which is part of our academy trust). If you have any queries around your child’s high school placement, please contact the school office and Mrs Blackwell may be able to support you.

World Book Day
On Thursday, we celebrated one of our favourite days of the year, World Book Day! Wow! We were blown away by the children’s costumes, books they had donated for the book swaps and the children who had created their very own dioramas! The prizes for the dioramas will be presented in assembly on Tuesday.
|
|
The children participated in a book hunt in the butterfly forest; teachers swapped classes and read a different class one of their favourite books; classes designed a world book day token for a competition for next year’s voucher and each child went home with their world book day book to continue their love of reading at home.

LFC STEM
During World Book Day, we had a group of Year 4 and 5 children attend Anfield for a STEM event. Children got to meet big red as part of their day!

Caterpillars
On Tuesday, we had an exciting delivery of caterpillars! Each class now has a butterfly garden where they will watch their caterpillars change into chrysalides and then emerge as beautiful painted lady butterflies. Children will then release their butterflies into the butterfly forest.

Thank You
We would like to thank the parents and PTA members who helped with the nursery trip to Croxteth Farm last Friday. Your help and support really does make a difference to these special curriculum enhancements.

Easter Service
A link will be sent out next week for anyone who is able to supervise children walking to St Andrews church on Thursday, 3rd April, for a 10am service.

|
Easter Bonnet
On Thursday 3rd April, children are invited to make an Easter bonnet and bring it in to school for the Easter bonnet parade! This is always an egg-citing day in school as we see children’s homemade creations. There are prizes to be won for each class for ingenuity, creativity and children’s egg-cellent work and effort.
