Parents/Carers welcome to our weekly newsletter! We hope you have a lovely weekend.

Red Nose Day
We are excited to be celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 21st March, and we would love for all children to take part! To mark the occasion, we invite children to come to school dressed in red and crazy hair with a £1 donation to support comic relief. We will also be holding a bake sale for store-bought cake donations. All cakes will be priced at 50p.
Science Week
The theme this year is change and adapt. We welcomed Heather Moore from the Northern Schools Trust for an assembly on Monday. Heather introduced science week alongside Mrs Hayes. The children have created an imaginative solution to a problem by looking at how they can make a difference to how people live their lives. All entries have been entered into a trust-wide competition. Creations include a ‘friendsbot’ from reception and ‘hot holder’ from Year 6 children and prizes will be announced soon!
International Women’s Day at LFC
Girls from Years 4 and 5 celebrated International Women’s Day at Liverpool Football Club today. The children took part in a STEM workshop which included creating a piece of art representing an inspirational woman in their lives. More pictures will be on class dojo.
Crucial Crew
Year six attended the crucial crew event this week. They took part in mini-workshops from different organisations, including Scottish Power and British Transport Police. Children have learnt how to keep themselves safe in different situations and be aware of dangers around them, such as the railway lane.
Caterpillars
Each class has been given their very own caterpillars to observe which links in to our science week on change and adapt. This week, children noted a change in the size of the caterpillars. They are around 2.5cm long now!
