LFC Trip

This week, a group of Year 5 and 6 pupils visited Anfield for an Istanbul legacy workshop. The resilience-building workshop explored the emotions of the Liverpool players and the children took part in teamwork exercises alongside mighty red. Other highlights included a mini-museum displaying memorabilia, a special highlights reel of the dramatic final against AC Milan and some of the Liverpool squad sharing their memories. We even got a photograph with the European Cup trophy.

Nursery Activities

Nursery have had a great time this week with the children enjoying our new handwriting and fine motor activities through ‘pegs to paper’. This is a tool we have invested in, as a school, to support our children’s pencil/ pen grip and handwriting.

Reception

This week we’ve said our goodbyes to Bob and Joey as they’ve gone off to live a happy life in Croxteth Park Farm. The children have loved watching the ducklings grow and have all been so responsible in caring for them.

Year 1

In Year 1 this week we tasted different fruits in dt. They loved describing the appearance and taste of each piece of fruit. Some were very sour and made them pull a funny face!

Year 2 Smoothies

Year 2 had a wonderful time making their very own smoothies. They practised cutting skills and even had the opportunity to use the blender. What a lovely Friday!

Year 4

On Tuesday, Year 4 went into our garden space and tended to our vegetable patch with Lisa from school food matters. The children pulled out the weeds and made some space to sow loose-leaf lettuce. They then divided herbs to plant out into spaces and sowed some radish seeds before feeding the soil with organic feed.

Year 5

Year 5 had a wonderful afternoon making burritos as part of their dt topic on Thursday! The class enjoyed each stage of making and eating their burritos!

Year 6

Year 6 had a fantastic time at Liverpool Life Sciences UTC. They learnt how to respond in an emergency situation to keep both themselves and the victim safe. Using the sim man, they simulated a patient suffering breathing difficulties and diagnosed he was having an asthma attack. They performed CPR on a dummy and put each other in the recovery position.

Parking by School

It has been brought to our attention by local residents that parking across driveways during school pick-up times is creating considerable difficulty—particularly for individuals with limited mobility and those who rely on regular visits from carers and healthcare professionals. We kindly ask that parents and carers are mindful not to park in a way that blocks driveway access, especially in areas where vulnerable members of the community may be affected. Thank you
