Happy New Year!
We are learning all about the Roman Empire, the Roman Army, Julius Caesar (which is very tricky to spell!) and much more.
Please start collecting large pieces of cardboard for a very brave and energetic task.
Now that the Christmas period is over, normal PE lessons will resume. Please ensure PE kits are in school every week.

It is very important in year 3 that children read every day at home, and their books are brought back to school each morning. Spellings are given out once a week (Monday) and children have a week to learn these words for a test on Friday. Spellings that are given follow the government guidelines for the age group, and children should be able to spell these words by the end of the year. Along with spellings, times tables should also be practised at home as often as possible. Children will be tested on times tables weekly. This is important as children need these skills for their everyday maths lessons.
Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school every Monday and it stays in school until Friday. This is due to the changes in weather !
