Welcome to Class 1JC
Hello and welcome to 1JC’s class page!
My name is Mrs Conqueror and alongside Mrs McArdle I teach the wonderful 1JC!
The children will also have Mrs Coneboy teaching them on a Monday afternoon and Tuesday.
Please note: PE will be on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Please encourage your child to leave their PE kit in school and we will send it home at the end of each half term.
Homework will be given on a Monday to be returned on a Thursday. Reading books will be sent home daily and it is important that you take a few minutes each night to share the book with your child and then send it back each day.
We have a really busy and exciting half term ahead of us with lots of fun learning to be done.
In English, we will be learning all about labels, captions and lists using the story of the Three Little Pigs to help us.
In Maths we are starting the fantastic Singapore Maths activities which encourage lots of talk, interaction and fun. I know we can't wait!!
In topic we will be learning about houses and homes from the past, houses and buildings in our local area and linking all this to materials we use in homes for Science.
We will also be going on a trip into Liverpool to take the Open Top Tour so we can learn more about our fantastic city.
It promises to be a great half term full of learning and fun for Year 1. Please check back soon as we will update the page with pictures of the classes wonderful learning.
